Dutch Win Tune up Tourney Before Beijing Olympics

The Netherlands’ football squad are going into the Olympics with renewed confidence, following their win in a four-team tournament in Hong Kong on the weekend.

The Dutch drew 1-all with Ivory Coast to win the tournament, the two teams’ last warm-up match before Beijing 2008.

Netherlands, Ivory Coast, the United States and Cameroon participated in the Hong Kong tournament to fine tune and acclimatise to the humid weather they are likely to experience in Beijing.

The men’s Olympic football tournament begins Thursday and runs through to August 23.
